Former Microsoft exec and industry expert to lead world-class organization
Watertown, Mass. – February 8, 2012 – BlueMetal Architects, a leading technology architecture firm, announced today that Bob German has joined the company as Practice Director for BlueMetal’s SharePoint and Information Management practice.
In this role, Mr. German will be using his deep customer and product background to architect and deploy collaboration applications based on Microsoft SharePoint and .NET technologies.
Prior to joining BlueMetal, Bob spent 16 years at Microsoft Corporation where he most recently was a Technology Architect at the Microsoft Technology Center in Waltham, Massachusetts. Mr. German has been a pioneer in the development of SharePoint since its launch in 2001, influencing product design and architecture during his Microsoft tenure.

Mr. German has been at the center of many of the largest scale deployments of SharePoint in the United States solutions across healthcare/life sciences, public sector and financial services verticals. Using BlueMetal’s methodology to Imagine, Design and Build solutions, he will deliver solutions that exactly meet the needs of BlueMetal’s customers.
In addition to his customer work, Mr. German has been an active participant in the SharePoint community as a highly-rated speaker at conferences, events and user groups worldwide. In November 2011 he and co-author Paul Stubbs released the book “SharePoint 2010 Development with Silverlight” from Adison Wesley which further highlights Bob’s place as one of the world’s foremost SharePoint experts.
